Jiangsu Tianwan Nuclear Power Unit 3 has been in commercial operation conditions on February 15, marking the formal completion of the first unit of Jiangsu Nuclear Power Phase II Project (Units 3 and 4). Construction of Jiangsu Nuclear Power Unit 3 started on December 27, 2012, using VVER-1000/428 reactor designed and manufactured by Russia, and half-speed turbogenerator set designed and manufactured by China on the conventional island.
Jiangsu Phase II nuclear power project has carried out a series of important advanced design and a large number of independent work on the basis of the Phase I project, thus further improving the safety and technological advancement of the units and meeting the safety requirements of the third generation nuclear power plants in the world.
